FINISSAGE SATURDAY 14 JUNE 15:00—17:00 MONIKA RINCK I
A warm thanks for joining us for the finissage of CYCLE 2 on Saturday, 14 June, including a reading by Monika Rinck and
a Post Brothers presentation, both linked to Judith Hopf’s display. The talks were followed by Falke Pisano’s signature drink, bbq, and music in the garden.

Hopf’s long-term interlocutor Monika Rinck is a German author with a vast production of prose, poems, and non-fiction in her catalogue. The talk developed as a pondering on the joke and its—often nearly stupid—implications.
Post Brothers—the curator, critic, collector, and self-entitled crackpot academic, Matthew Post—gave a talk on animations, portable holes, and humor linked to his analysis of Hopf’s Cycle of exhibitions, soon to be published as a PRAXES Paper.
ParloR THURSDAY 12 JUNE 20:00 SAMUEL ADAMS Re-installing Ab
On Thursday, 12 June, scholar Samuel Adams gave a talk titled “Re-installing Abstraction: Falke Pisano in Rehearsal.”
A doctoral candidate at University of Southern California specializing in set design, theater, and installation art, Adams looked at the occurrence and reoccurrence of theatricality in artistic practices. This Parlor coincided with a brand-new installation of works by Falke Pisano at PRAXES.

Exploring female emotional desires and their attempts of expression in pop music, the program was broadcasted 8 May at 7pm on BERLIN COMMUNITY RADIO.
Thanks for joining us for the opening of Judith Hopf’s fourth and final display, Untitled (4). For this exhibition module, Hopf has created a brand-new installation responding in part to the cyclical investigations at PRAXES.

On Friday, 7 March, we continued the ongoing process of gradual unfolding by opening the second take of Falke Pisano’s first exhibition module, Parts That Do Not Go Together.

This Parlor marked the end of Falke Pisano’s inaugural exhibition module Rehearsal I, Take One: Parts That Do Not Go Together. Loosely inspired by Jimmie Durham’s work, the first Rehearsal emphasized cross-readings, minor narratives, and slow articulations that gradually unfold over time.
Jimmie Durham is a writer and a sculptor. In other words, he likes to compose poems and think with objects - he likes to tell stories. In Durham’s Poems That Do Not Go Together, ideas and words cross each other's paths, but they avoid the pitfalls of linear logistics because they Do Not Lead To A Point.
